Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum. I wasn't sure where to say hello to everyone. So, I figured I'd start here and find my way around this forum. Hello!! I purchased a 2014 Can Am Spyder RT-S SE6 last week. I am waiting for my shipper to deliver it (next weekend). I've been dreaming of owning a Can Am for 10 years. Thanks to my wonderful husband, I now have my dream.
A little about me. I currently live in Albuquerque, NM. I am married with 4 kids (13, 15, 18 and 19 years old). I'm a stay at home mom. My husband rides as well, but not a Can Am. I have had an itch for some wind therapy of my own for years. However, some health issues stood in my way. I have taken care of the issues and now I'm ready to ride. I live in one of the best states. I say that, because we have an 11 month riding season. We get little to no snow, it's usually nice, warm and dry.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to getting know some of you and sharing advice. Thank you for your time.

Welcome from one time residents of Alamogordo. We lived in Fat Cottonwood for four years while my wife was Deputy Logistics Commander at Holloman AFB. Beautiful area and, as you say, a long riding season. We thoroughly enjoyed riding through the NM desert landscape and mountains - beauty that's hard to beat in our minds. Still find our way there back now and then.
We're both retired now and have settled just outside San Antonio, TX, and have the Texas Hill Country to explore and enjoy. Like you, she wanted a Spyder so we now have her RT Limited and my RT-S. Can't beat the combination in our minds - six wheels, two riders, and miles and miles of good times.
My wife who has never driven a motorcycle in her life learned on my Can Am RT in about an hour (the basics). A few months later after breezing through the 3-wheel class and getting her license she now has her own! That's what I love about Spyders - so many new people can learn so fast and get out and enjoy. You will find endless knowledge here in these forums as you go! You'll notice a lot of cool things in the pics - LEDs, bumpskids with LEDs, custom this and that... Now the real fun part starts - customizing your ride!
I have a 2014 RTS-SE6 as well, good choice. I have 23,000+ miles on mine.
