M & S buttons not working
I can't get these buttons to work. Do they go bad ? Fuse ? The Mode on the handle bar works fine. 2008 GS

Not that I have heard of...
They are built into the instrument cluster. I would remove the cluster and reset the gang plug to make sure you have good contact. I do have to massage those buttons to get contact at times but they have never not worked...

No luck i guess I just have to live with it. I don't really need those buttons other than adjusting the clock, I guess no other way to adjust the clock ?

The clock was annoying me so today i took the cluster apart and finally figured it out. If anyone runs into similar issue please see the pictures, you need to bring the pin all the way up and the glass itself will push it back to the right position (It shouldnt be touching the board, mine was) re-magnetise the small magnets attached to the rubber buttons and ya good to go.20180906_212807.jpg20180906_212801.jpg

Yes backside of the panel, when you take it apart and take out the rubber piece ( M % S) it will be pretty obvious.
