    Default Top Trunk Switch

The safety switch on the trunk of my 17 F3L frequently gives me a Trunk Open indcation on the dash. I find the switch is very loosely mounted in the bottom shell of the trunk. If I wiggle it a little it works until I hit bump or open trunk again. Hate to take back for warranty consideration. Anyone else have issues with this switch?

I’ve heard a number of complaints about that. I would take it back to the dealer so they file a warranty claim, they will never make a product better if they don’t know that everyone is unhappy with something.

    Default Switch

There is a thread on this if you do a search. I fixed mine with a small piece of plastic under the switch to make better contact with the post that pushes the switch arm.
