My 990, New to the Forum from South Carolina
Just stepped into the World of Spyders this past Friday in Columbia, SC. I have ridden motorcycles most of my younger adult life but not in the past 25 years. I decided to get back on two wheels with a Yamaha StarBike back in December 2017 and then a 2014 VStar 1300 Deluxe in April 2018. I enjoyed both of them but never found the confidence I needed to be able to enjoy the ride like I wanted to.
Then here came the Spyder Attraction with the three wheels and hoping the confidence would return. I located a low mileage, one owner, 2009 RS SM5 and the dealer and myself agreed on a price I couldn't pass up and brought it home. It is a Red and Black model. I'm looking forward to the information and camaraderie here on this forum...MD in SC

Congrats!
Hoping you have a great time riding your new Spyder! It's not a motorcycle by any means, but still loads of fun!

Nice
Clean looking Ryde , always liked that colour .... Hindle pipes sound pretty good too . I added a Yoshimura pipe , taller windshield and Givi bags to my GS and it’s been a great machine . Like you I was out of bikes for quite a few years and the Spyder was a good safe way to get back out there , enjoy 👍

Welcome. Great looking bike. You can search spyderlovers and find so much information. This is really a wonderful and helping community.

Yep the taller windshield is the next I will purchase. Just trying to figure out which of the ones available will be the one for me. On another post others have given me a lot of advice and suggestions on brands. Now it is just up to me to make the decision and "just do it"...MD
