Hi guys, this year it seems that the problems did not want to leave today Glowing engine with "check engine" after turning off / on again the engine a few times disappears. with warning light on the engine runs well seems almost an electrical disturbance. What advice should I check

Engine light on solid with "Check Engine" message means there is a problem with one of the engine management components.
When and if the warning comes back check for active codes. If you're RS is 2013 or newer press "Hold" + "Set" + "Turn Signal Cancel". If you're RS/GS is 2012 or older the procedure is different and more complicated. Let us now and someone will come up with the procedure.

I have this method saved in case I need it. I just tried it & it works
FAULT CODE PULL UP (2008 GS)
With ignition switch on (or engine running) press MODE button (the one on the dash) repeatedly until "engine hours" (total hours) shows on display.
Press and hold MODE button down (the one on the dash) while pushing the "flash high beams"button five times within 2 seconds.
If there are no active faults "No Active Fault Code" will bedisplayed.
If there is an active fault, an alphanumeric code will be displayed. This canbe looked up in the shop manual (available on CD) or you can ask onSpyderLovers and someone will look it up for you.
If there is more than one active code, you may press MODE to cycle through them

Suggestion...
if you have an android download free app "spyder codes" and if an apple "my spyder". You will find the proceedures and codes along with helpful information. Worth having wherever you go.... sometimes the key walk will clear the check engine...

Have you tried riding it? Or did it just happen when you started it. I would ride it locally ans see what happens. Won't hurt the Spyder. It's the Evaporation Canister (purge valve), I believe.

I would ride it. Nothing damaging to Spyder until it can be changed or it clears itself. which it might.

Just thinking out loud. ..wonder if a resistor would work as a bypass for those of us running with no canister...?

Useful information. Is there an easy way to clear the codes on a 2013 RSS? My check engine light came on but it ran fine so I kept going home. I then read the repair manual and one of the cures listed was to simply turn the engine off, remove the key and then see if the light comes back on. It didn't in my case and has been fine for about the last 100 miles.

When I was at the 3-wheel ralleye in Deadwood last month my check engine lite came on. Took it to the dealer in Spearfish and it was the map
censer vacuum hose. It was dried up and cracked and came out in pieces.A very easy fix for them
