Hey F3/S owners, I am running into a PIA replacing my OEM incandescent H4's with some LED's I had from my Triumph. I watched the Slingmods video, and everything was going good until I tried removing the front nose piece. That damn thing doesn't want to come out !! I have all the panels/mirrors/service panel removed, along with the nose piece nut/bolt. I lifts up, but it sure won't the heck pop off!! What am I missing?? I'm stepping away till I here some info as I haven't snapped/cracked anything as of yet :0. Thanks
We just did lights on an F3 on Thursday, I still have bruises and cuts on my arms as we struggled for a long time trying to do it without removing the nose. Of course I can’t remember exactly how that piece came off but I know it wasn’t moving and then I think I lifted it from the top and it came off. I will see if Joe remembers.

On the F3S and base model, you access the headlight bulbs from the top, after removing the instrument cluster and service panel under it. Bulbs are right there to change out. No need to remove the housings. Almost as easy as changing them on an ST. F3T and L you have to remove the housings from the front.
Sheeesh ... According to the manual, you have to do both the panels and instrument/service panel. I got it all buttoned up now. I'll have a peek and try again via the instrument/service panel on the next rainy day .
The pain in the butt on the one we did was removing his windshield and aftermarket accessories. Once those were off, it was easy. It is nearly impossible to change them out without removing stuff, there isn’t enough room to maneuver your hand to fo it from the rear.
Joe said the panel in question has a tab on the top so you slide it up a little and then straight off

Ha ... Yup, and I just put the Madstad shield on last Thursday. That's OK, I'll disassemble sometime this week. How convenient that my H4 9003 LED's I kept from my 800 Tiger are the direct replacement. They'll be in before I head down to Arkansas on the 30th
