Unfortunately I can't buy it as it doesn't have enough miles on it (7000) to register in California! And my wife looks good with that color combo!

Seriously in CA a used bike needs 7K, Why? If one of my vehicles sells and Bobs is still available was gonna entertain his offer. So many good things Bob has added to this. I mean even the pegs are color coordinated

In my mind was gonna change the front fenders, add a trailer hitch. And I was good to go.

While I could be wrong, but I read somewhere before it is because the California dealers can't/won't compete with other states dealers that sell their bike cheaper because in those states they can't ride year round like in California. Also I thought it was 7800 miles, not 7000.

The required mileage is 7500 for out of state vehicles for them to not be considered new in meeting California emissions requirements.

Depending on the emissions label on your Spyder it may be compliant for California emissions and the mileage requirement may not apply.

Yes this part is right.

IF.....the vehicle in question was manufactured new to conform to the California state emission standards, commonly called a 50 states vehicle, then there is no problem bringing it into California......as long as it is still stock.

The mileage requirement is there to prevent people from going to other states and buying new vehicles that are NOT compliant with the California standards.

We have a road like that. North of Fairbanks--to Chena Hot Springs. It was more steep though. When I first saw it, I did not think the Spyders would make it up from the bottom of some of the hills. They did.

Back to the program.
