Default Anyone trade an RT for a F3? Which is best for passenger ride?

    Anyone trade a RT for a F3?

If so, does your passenger think the ride is worse, good or better than the RT?

    Overall, is it worth it?

I own both - my passenger says RTS is more comfy than F3.

I went from a 2014 RT to a 2016 F3T. There is no comparison for passenger comfort. The RT is so much better. But my bike is a 95-98% solo bike. If my wife rode as much as 50% of the time or more, I would have probably stuck with the RT. I am much more comfortable on the F3 series, but I would give that comfort up to have the wife ride with me more.

    Default F3 versus RT

    I own both as well.

I got the 2017 RT first.
She who must be obeyed had to have her own, so I got her a 2017 F3L.

No comparison to the passenger comfort. RT is much better.

The only way to know for sure is to test ryde both 2 up and let YOUR passenger decide. Some passengers like the F3T/L better as they sit much higher and have better site lines. Don't let us be your judge, let YOUR passenger tell YOU!

    Default When I took delivery

of my 2018 F3L, there was a couple trading their F3L for an RT because of passenger comfort. They said solo was hands down the F3 but with passenger hands down the RT.

2017 F3 Ltd with Ultimate seat upgrade and passenger armrests. Passenger very happy. Driver is very, very happy. Both happy ryders rather than just one.

Rt much more comfortable for my wife to ride. F3 much more comfortable for the driver. So now we own two. 2015 RT for my wife, 2018 F3 limited for me.

Actually my wife prefers the F3L to the RTL we had. She likes sitting closer to the ground.

Default another pic of an Ultimate seat on an F3L

Saw the request for a pic; here's another look at an Ultimate one-piece seat on a 2017 F3L, very similar to what hillbillywhisperer has, just color-matched to go with the red, and same arm rests. My lady liked the stock seat on the F3L better than the RTL, because she sat higher and looked over my head rather than around my helmet. She also liked the ride on the F3L better overall (we tried out both; I just couldn't get comfortable on the RTL). So, we went with the F3L. (You DO need to test ride BOTH; then YOU decide.) After switching to the one-piece Ultimate seat, she finds herself lower than the stock F3L seat (in relation to me by 2" +/-), and no longer looking over my head quite as much; however, she enjoys the ride. Like hillbillywhisperer, I'm now far more comfortable driving than on the stock F3L seat, which I could barely tolerate after 45 minutes. I can go 3+ hours now, almost burn my way through a full tank of gas (400 km/ 250 miles)
