    Default Chirping from engine area

I have a 2011 RSS with around 3300 miles. There is a chirping sound coming from the engine area while underway. I can't seem to duplicate the sound if I'm not moving so it is hard to tell exactly where it is coming from. Any ideas?

    Default Just one idea

Many of the earlier GS & RS had exhaust gasket problems...Many of us replaced the BRP gaskets with Honda gaskets (donut style gasket) Maybe that what your starting to hear failing??? Just an idea...

It could be from the drive belt. Put a small dab of grease on the insde of the belt and see if it goes away. Our 2012 RT would chirp on take off.

If it only happens when you are moving. Goes faster as speed increases. I'd say the drive belt is the problem. If the belt is tracking correctly. I'd try the grease solution. Be VERY Sparing with the grease! You can always put more on. It's hard to get too much off.
