2016 Antenna Removal

Planning on changing my antenna to a stubby version.
How does the old one come off? I think
mine now is the newer version because it's fexable.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think Lamont has a you tube video on it...if it is the newer one, turn it hard to the right with vise grips to break off the mast....then if i remember right a 8mm socket to remove the rest of it. after that putting new one on is a snap.

Thanks I will check it out but I may try and remove some plastic to get to it.
