At least try a Bead Rider
Have you tried an Ultimate BeadRider seat cover? I have one and just did a 1,500 mile 30 hour leg on part of our recent ten day trip (trying for an IBA Bun Burner 1500 cert). I had one and I know it helped me, but riding buddy Jerry just bought one and ended up taking it off during the trip. Sold it to a GOS at the bottom of the Tail of the Dragon, I've heard she really liked it. Again, a matter of personal preference, but it wouldn't hurt to try it. Mine stays on full time now, going for a BBG later this week.
I think it gives your tired, hot butt a massage, allows cool air to vent between you and the seat, and has kept my jeans dry during some spotty showers.
Last July 5th I did a SS1000 through Iowa and never got a hot butt.

you do stop ?
when you get too hurting you do pull over and walk around a bit right ? not keep going and tough it out ... every one seems to go with 45 minutes too 1 hour ride and stop , walk around and enjoy the day ( so they say , but I think just too get the wrinkles out ... )

Have you tried cycling shorts, the ones with padding in them? Obviously worn under your motorbike pants. Several of the long distance riders I know swear by them, not only for the extra padding but because they are designed to be comfortable in a sitting position etc - well that's not exactly how they put it but you get the idea.

After having 12 bikes, and 3 spyders, I find that I need to stop after my first 80 miles, and every 60 miles thereafter. I have tried gel pads, air hawk pads, etc. There is nothing that can keep me on longer than stated above. I also have found that I ride better in a certain type of briefs. I call them my riding undies, and make sure I pack them specifically when going on longer rides. My longest day so far was 600 miles on my spyder on a day trip. That day started out around 6am and ended around 10 pm. That is my longest ride, and I was done.

I have an 2018 F3L and the stock seat sucks. I put Dave's gel seat insert in and it's much better. Still I can never make it more than 1 hour and my butt and legs hurt. Even on my Russel daylong seat I had on my RTS.
It just sucks getting older.

Just installed an Ultimate Tall Boy on my RS
My problem is I am 6'5" and 270lbs and have no butt. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there with the same problem! The OEM seat just caused two points of pain after two hours. The Ultimate seat is very different. At first I wondered if it was too hard, but like suggested I am going to break it in, give it maybe 1000 miles before final judgement. There is no pain in the first two hours though, and the backrest is very welcome. It definitely feels stiff out of the box. I also tried gel pads, beads, airhawk, etc. nothing worked. I think the Ultimate seat is a little wider, maybe that is helping too.

Saddles
Everyone is different. Skip to the end, have a saddle custom made for you. We have a RDL on one and a Laam on the other. 12 hours, getting off for gas breaks. No pain is good!

Looks like your happy with both the RDL and Laam. Any notable differences or preferences between the two.....? I still have the stock RTL seat with Airhawk. I can do about an hour and a half starting out but then need a bun break about every hour thereafter. I have a Tom Simmons Custom (from Arkansas) on my Goldwing and it is an all-day rider but very $$$$$. Need to do "something" with the Spyder seat. Thanks

Steven, like Joe says, everyone is different, so gel will work for some, Ultimate will work for some, pads will work for some....but not ALL. I am taller and heavier than you, and DO have a butt, and I could not get a comfortable seat until Russell made a Daylong for me based on my measurement and photos. Have a bit of a search on here. Russell will guarantee their seat will work for you or will modify it until it does.

Saddles
The RDL is leather, heated, has a couple of backrests; was $1400.
The Laam is vinyl, has heat, was $450. Laamseats.com
I love mine, Ann loves hers. Check both out. We did ride ins for both. A custom saddle makes all the difference in the world. All day (750 miles) comfort, many days in a row. Just got back last week from 5022 mile, 22 state ride. No pain.

Could it be that your butt is just getting old. And can't handle the pressure of long rides anymore. Just saying. Ride, rest, ride, eat, ride, stop for ice cream and ride home and get in the recliner, fall asleep wake up and go to bed. Kinda sounds like a goldwing group.
