Roadster Electronic Command Center & Infotainment Center
I've had my RTL for a few years and 17k miles now, and I thought I'd dig into the infotainment system a little more to better understand how to get the most out it.
I've read the quick reference booklet through from beginning to end several times and I've read the relevant sections of the Owner's Guide. I'm left with these unanswered questions;
1. What is the 'Trailer Mode' and how do I access that? It's not on any of the menus that I can find and no explanation in the documentation.
2. Why is there a setting for the date? How is that used by the infotainment system? I've been operating with it set at the default of '0' until today and it doesn't seem to affect anything.
3. Is there a document anywhere that goes through every menu item, what it is for, how and when to use it? The two guides I mentioned above are very sketchy in what they talk about and what they don't.
4. What is the external speaker setting? External speaker.jpg
5. What is the headset mode setting? Headset mode.jpg
6. What is the headset front setting? Headset front.jpg

There was an earlier thread that talked about disabling the clock. I could find no such feature, so if there is one please tell me where to find it. I'd like to eliminate as much useless clutter as possible from the dash. Thanks.

Okay, so that one is a misprint. Thank you for clearing that up.

Okay, thanks. That's very helpful.
Just to clarify, on #4 External speakers; this is a misnomer because there are no 'internal speakers', right? It's just THE OEM speakers?

External speakers and helmet headset(s). Not a misnomer. Just a differentiator.

I believe the date setting is for the computer, for when fault occurs, I believe it is for time/date stamp. Bruce
