My 2008 GS SE5 currently has a Corbin seat on it. My wife does not like it's lean forward and the fact that she slides on stops. She also doesn't like the way it forces her to spread her legs so wide causing strain in thigh area.
Any ideas on what NEW seat to buy. I see 3-4 varieties but nothing answers these issues.
I know this is an old post but I just saw it now and I have the same problem as the Corbin actually hurts my wife’s hips. Have you tried a new seat yet? Thanks. Larry aka vettean66
I`m also one of the lucky 2up users and understnad what you mean - we where both happy with the original BRP Version, maybe you try one of them !
(for our new Ryker its another story to build up a "normal"passenger seat)
Outlander fairing - Fox-shock - BajaRon Swaybar - Hankook tire/ back - 165/50 Imperial tires front & longer front shocks - GIVI Topase - Shad sidecases -heated grips - new seats
another +1 for the Comfort seat. Haven't tried the Corbin, but the comfort seat is way better than stock.

... Motorcycles are kind of like Baskin Robbins... You're looking at 31 flavors of ice cream, don't you kind of want to know what they all taste like?...
My reasons for liking the "comfort" seat. A couple inch setback from the OEM seat. More padding than the the OEM "mush" seat...which was good for about 50 miles for me.
The 2014 version has a better lumbar support than the 2011 version. The setback, will reduce the passenger room. We are both "large" so riding single is preferred.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Question I would have is - Is she the driver or the passenger?
If passenger than the BRP comfort seat would not help her as she would loose 1 1/2" of length causing her to have to widen her legs to go around you.
If driver than that would help in both padding and leg spread as she would be sitting back by that 1 1/2"

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people...... but our benefits don't?
Sorry I did not get back sooner. I thought about an original BRP seat and found 1. But, it would cost $75 to ship from
Las Vegas to Nashville. Making it cost prohibitative. What I have is a Corbin that came with it used.
