Default lost mirror pigtail wires inside new RT

I removed right hand mirror to do an install of stuff, and the wire flopped deep inside. I cant see it or feel it. What panels do I need to remove beside the normal side panels to access this cable and feed it back through the hole.

When I removed the mirror, the connection to inside seemed not to be able to move to outside the hole. I shouldnt have disconnected it, I guess. thanks to anyone who can advise me.

Oh yes, I had the same thing happen. After an ugly few minutes of yelling and swearing, I calmed down and worked out a solution. I can't say that it will work for you, but it did for me. BTW, my connectors seemed like they wouldn't extend beyond the opening either but with a little persuasion they actually do (without causing any problems).

I couldn't see or feel the wire or connector either but decided it couldn't have gone too very far from the opening I was looking into. I "borrowed" found a wire coat hanger, cut a piece and bent a "fish hook" shape in the end. I poked it into the hole and with the aid of a bright flashlight (torch for our Empire members) managed, after a bunch of attempts, to snag the wire behind the connector and pull it out. It sure beat removing a bunch of plastic to recover it. Good luck.

Agreed. But to do that to need to remove both mirrors then the front “darth vader” mask. You’ll need a 10 mm socket on an extension to remove the headlight aling with the torx 30 for the other fasteners

    Question Zip tie

Just put a zip tie at the connector and it won't fall through. You'll thank me later.
