Bike wont lock any longer
during this season I noticed that the front doesn't lock. doesn't matter which way I turn it. so I have to make sure anything that needs to be locked I put in the back.
anyone else run into the same problem. I will wait to near end of season to take it to the shop.
correction, its the lock for the steering and I guess you will call it the glove box.

Have read where some one forced the bars & the lock pin gouged area where the forks would not lock again. Not sure about glove box , they are connected somehow. Hope was not a theft attempt

I also read the same thing. And the wheel lock also locks the glove box.

Although interconnected, those are two different things.
If BOTH fail to lock, then the problem likely is near the ignition switch mechanism. (maybe, see below)
EDIT: I just tested mine. You can NOT put the key in the lock position unless the bars are turned almost to MAX. first. I tested left.
And the glove box won't lock unless the bars do first.

Is it really worth it? I find the amount of force you have to exert to get the wheels all the way left or right might be putting a lot of stress on something down in there. Connections, cables, braces and whatever. Maybe even throw off your DPS sensor. I don’t keep anything important in there anyways. That’s just me. Just saying!
