Default What is a reasonable time to wait if you are on the road and need urgent service ...

It has been my BMW experience the time is hours at most.

I have had flat tires (plural), broken spokes and snapped clutch cable fixed on an emergency basis all without delay. Without delay!!! Certainly same day usually within a couple hours.

The dealers (various in several states and provinces) have all dropped everything and looked after me, a forlorn traveller with luggage and a wife sitting on our luggage in their services waiting area ... LOL.

So I want to know (as I leave on a very long trip in the next few days) do I need to worry if Nany kicks in and how does one override the Nany if that is necessary?

You have asked a difficult (IMO) question. The answer depends...

Most dealers worth their salt should give road emergencies priority.

Cannot answer your how to override the "nanny" question.

Go to the App Store and download SpyderCodes. Read the instructions on set up and how to pull codes also check out the lists of Spyders to the Rescue. Having this app on your phone should be a big help in the event you need help.

Have a great trip and don’t worry

The responsiveness of Spyder dealers is hit-or-miss. Ann's suggestion of Spyder Codes is the best. The Spyder community is a big help.

    Default road service

You might try spyders to the rescue also if you break down. May not be able to repair but could help in other ways.
