Default All 2013-up with Brembo brakes (Parking brake arm bolt check) WARNING

Two days ago while out for a ride, the bracket that bolts on to the rear brake caliper and that the brake cable hooks on to fell off my bike. I did not notice this till I got home and tried to set the parking brake. Somehow the bolt must have vibrated loose. The problem, BRP does not offer the bracket seperately. But you can buy the spring and bolt which holds the arm onto the caliper. Make sure the bolt is good and tight when ever you have brakes serviced.

BRP should make this available. Why force us to buy a whole new exspensive caliper assembly, when all we need is the Arm, Spring, & Bolt - probably less than $60.00. We've already spent enough for the bike.

Attached Below is the picture of the Bracket in question. It's bolted to the caliper with spring attached at the bottom cable hooked at the top. Make sure this bolt is tight each time you have brakes done.

According to my dealer the bracket in that kit is not the correct one I need. Waiting to hear back from BRP as to which kit has the bracket I need.

Joel, you should be working for BRP. At the very least, they should hire you to improve their customer service. Your an "A+" guy.

What did you use to make it, a plasma cutter or water jet cutter, or something else of the sort? I was wondering how you duplicated the shape. Make a digitized copy and load the CNC or is there some way to trace the original shape? I'm just curious. I guess it's my engineer nature.

I made it by hand with hand tools. Sawsall, grinder, drill, files, and a sander. Took about an hour.

    Default Update

Called my dealer today to check on status of technical request sent to BRP. As my initial post stated it was regarding the parking brake lever that fell off the rear brake caliper of my 2013 RT-S. I was told by my dealer that BRP sent them a replacement part. Kudos to BRP for stepping up to the plate. Heading upstate tomorrow to have new bracket installed.

I would have made it a little prettier, but had to get it to the post office before it closed. Function over style I guess. I think the paint was still drying when I mailed it!

    Hi,

I'm hoping you can help me with the part number for the spring and bolt. I just noticed that my bolt isn't there and i cant find the part number. I still have the spring but I'll be happy to buy both if that's how they come.
