Okay, I understand now, thanks. So, back to one of my earlier posts, the stability issue with putting a Spyder up on a lift like this has more to do with keeping the Spyder stabilized on the jack itself, not the jack itself having any inherent stability.

Yes, both Pitbull and J & S have a large footprint. They have no problem as long as bike is supported properly.

What does the Spyder adapter do? I imagine it's similar in function to you D-I-Y solution using angle iron?

I was pretty sure how you explained how to push the jack from either side but that long piece of angle iron is throwing us for a loop

I dont see why not. As long as it has the frame under the bike it will lift it. yours Should look like the pics in this thread for the frame
