Default Need help on this one.

I want to ad a break light modulator to my 2018 RT. How easy/hard it is to access the tail light wiring?
    Any help will be appreciated.

Easy. Plenty of threads showing how.

Where? Can you give me a link? That would be under what heading?

On the top right of your screen is a search box. Did you try that? Unfortunately, there is very little discipline as to where folks post their threads, so it could be under 'Shop Talk' or 'RT-Touring' or 'General'. Also, the thread name is in most cases not very meaningful; either the original poster doesn't give a lot of thought to naming their thread or a thread can start on one topic and then morph over to something kinda/sorta related.

There was a thread recently about adjusting the latch on the saddlebags. To get at that adjuster, it is necessary to remove the same fasteners and drop the same back panel / fender as you would need to do to access the wiring at the back. I'll try to find that and post it.

But, do try to use the search box first, using terms like 'taillight wiring' 'tail lights' 'saddlebag latch' and variations of those, including mis-spellings of key words.

Good luck. I'll post again here if I find some relevant threads for you.

I have a video for adding extra brake lights etc and it shows how to access the tail light wire.
I added a modulator myself but did not video it.

    Default brake light modulator

And if you want to go REALLY easy, find the wires comming off the brake light switch down by the brake pedal, look at your wiring diagram in your owners manual or shop manual and break that color of wire coming off the switch, insert your modulator in line and ground it. Done!!

I love the video. Great job. Now that you show how to remove all the plastic, I'm gone do it.

    Default My Thoughts

When I ordered my lights from Tricled and the brake light mod it came with instructions on how to access all wiring involved. Very easy to do.
