    Default piston bores

    Does anyone know if the piston bores are sleeved on the 1330 and 998 ? If so what is the sleeve material as well as the piston rings.
    Are any of the friction components within the engine aluminum?

    The 1330 service manual makes no mention of sleeves. The drawings don't show sleeves. I would be amazed if there was any public information about the specific alloys used in the block casting.

    Neither are sleeved. 998 you can get cylider assemblies. 1330 block only. Or machine shop may be able to cut and install sleeves?
