    Default Back From the Dead

Hope everyone is doing well, haven't been here for quite a while (stopped riding my RSS in May of 16--put it in storage; broke my hip last year and had it replaced [if you've been thinking about doing that---I don't recommend it--it sucks!]--just got the RSS out and up and running this week). Felt pretty good to be riding again!

PS: I'm still an ornery cranky in case you were wondering.

Was it the hip breaking part that sucked or the replacement. I had both my hips replaced within 8 months, which kinda sucked, but had I broken one - like when I fell down the stairs 3 weeks ago - now that would have REALLY sucked.

Let's "run with".......................both! I didn't even know it was broken; limped around for about a week thinking it was just sore due to bruised muscle, tendon or whatever. I finally went to the Doc, then almost fell off the exam table when he came back in with the Xray and told me it was broken and needed to be replaced! Anyway; I'm doing fine (considering) now; though doc told me no more overseas contracting (fairly arduous physical fitness test for many/most of the security jobs). Keeping my eye peeled for an Assistant Despot position somewhere. I can still yell at people and be mean OK.

Jeez! I don't want to even think about having to have both replaced.....................let alone within 8 months of each other! Sure hope you're recovering/recovered well, and riding again!

I know people that have had a hip replacement done and are doing fine .Then others like my mom who fell and broke her hip ( she was 76 ) ,and never recovered ,surfed for two years before passing . Hope you heal up and are doing well ,riding is great therapy .
