popping sound
Hello.
I have a 2015 RT Ltd 1330 Ace engine. Since day one I have always heard a sound from the engine while driving. The higher the RPM, the sound gets louder. When you change up to a higher gear, the sound will be quieter until the RPM is higher again.
Its hard to explain the type of sound but I guess it sounds more like a popping sound.
At idle, I do not hear the sound.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

An unusual noise since day one, why have you not taken it to your dealer?
Artillery lends dignity to what would
otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Maybe because the dealer will say "they all do that" and "that's normal" ? Pardon my cynicism...
Good question, hope someone has a clue.

have you had an opportunity to ride another Spyder to compare it to yours and see if it sounds the same?

2012 here
I had often noticed the popping sound ---- it seems to be coming from the exhaust , not a loud pop , but I am thinking might be just enough gas fumes to let out a real small in decibel " pop "

I hear the “popping” sound only when going through the gears rapidly and yes it comes from the exhaust.
