    Default Ram Mount

    Hi All,

Just put Tri-Axis bars on my '16 RT-S. I'm looking for a Ram Mount that I can use to mount Sirius XM head set. I'd prefer some sort of strap mount.

    Any Suggestions???

    Thanks!

    Default Wow...!!

There are many ways depending on where you want to mount the head set. on the bars or down on the center mount or on a cross bar on the dash. Lamont has several, JT Machine shop has some as well as other vendors on the home page. Shop around but beware of all the other goodies that will be tempting you...

The satellite radio receiver isn't weatherproof, so I mount mine in my trunk. Control it with the remote. Works well.

RAM-B-309-6U.jpgI used 2 hose clamps to mount this on my RT. I have one on each side. Of course remove the screws.

On my tri-axis bars I found the top rubber part is a plug and when removed you see a threaded hole for a metric bolt. I got a bolt and the RAM angle mount ball and now I can mount anything to it. I need to get a smaller diameter washer and it needs to be 1/8' thick. (When I had a Sirius radio on my ST I used RTV to seal the unit to the mount bracket and found it to withstand rain and washing with no problems. If it poured I had a zip lock bag)

This is the RAM mount I used.

I use this one on my 2016 RS and it works great. Easy to put on and take off.

What remote? The XM radio that is offered from Sirius for free doesn't come with a remote. Which head set comes with a remote??

    Thanks
