    What would be the matter with siphoning the oil out of the 1330 engine

    you will not get all the oil out . Not a very effective way to change your oil. The only time I would do that is if I overfilled and need to remove some....

    Also can't inspect the magnets on the oil plug to see if there are any metal particles on it.

    You won't get all the oil out, or any of the crap that might be down on the bottom.
