    Default Best tire replacement

I will wear out the original tires the summer and I want to get a new set on hand. There is probably a thread on what the best replacement is. Any opinions? My bike is an RTS.

There's probably about 14 GaZillion threads about tires...
You'll need to find out if your dealer is willing to mount a non-OEM tire...
If they won't: can you get it done at a nearby tire shop?
Or perhaps even do it yourself??

    As far as tires:
    Kumho
    General
    Yokohama
    Michelin

Seem to come up a lot...
But they're FAR from the only choices!
    Happy shopping!

no miles on them yet but they are excellent tires in wet, performance dry & even grip in snow.
very similar to conti dws06. others may want cheap but i want good, my bike unlike others is
not cheap and deserves better then chinese or basic tires.

Ok, so I may be taking one for the collective Spyder ryding community. I just purchased 2 front
165/60r15 and rear 205/60r15 Vredestein quatrac 5 tires for my 2017 f3t. After they come in and get installed, I will do a follow up report on how they feel. They are highly rated and I am hoping for a vast improvement ! I hope nanny stays cool with this change!!

Nanny should be fine with those sizes Jeff.

The proportional difference in rolling dia front to rear with those sizes looks to be very close to the OE Spec difference.... It's when you go big up front & small on the back (or vice versa) that the Nanny gets upset - and even then, it really only upsets her a lot if you tend to push things a little.

Gentle ryders probably won't ever notice the Nanny stepping in, but if you tend to brake late into corners &/or accelerate early on the way out, anything much different from the OE Spec proportional difference shows up PDQ & as a fairly noticeable intervention! And when she gets upset at speed or while you're ryding on the limit, it's more than just a tad annoying!! Safe, probably life & limb preserving, no argument there, but it can still be an aggresive intervention!

And we all know that no matter how gentle or how hard you ryde, the ultimate aim is to ryde smoothly, ryde safe, and enjoy your ryde!

    No such animal exists!
It's all in the rider's frame of reference.
And you know what they say about opinions, right?
