Not in the US. In order to reject a warranty claim BRP would have to PROVE that the after market hitch caused the failure. I don't think there is any scenario where they would succeed in doing that.

    Default Hitch

Can anyone verify this? If it's true, then we obviously need to know what year hitch fits our bikes.
I believe the actual hitch is the same, but the wiring is different so they have different part numbers. Wiring is the big concern for a Spyder hitch

There was some comment a few weeks ago about the U channel being tight on the later RTs, but as I recall the hitch still fit, just rather tight.

But you're right. As the kit components, i.e., the harness, changed the kit part # changed.

Just last week I had the hitch and wiring harness taken off our 2014 RTL and installed on our 2017 RTL. Work was done by a Can Am dealer. Every thing works fine.

Default show crome wire harness does not work on 2018 f3 limited.

i got my harness from bigbikeparts.com. the only problem i had it did not work very long. the trailer lights went crazy. i sent it back they put it on 2017 f3 limited and stated it worked fine. but not 2018. i bought harness from canadamotodepot.com got it and it would not plug in to the main plug under driver seat. so i called them and they are going to dealer on 10-22-18 to see what bpr changed on the 2018 f3. so that means i have a $95 harness plus s/h cost that does not work on my bike. will see what they find out

The trailer harness that goes between the main tail connector, made for a 2017 and earlier models. Does not fit the 2018 or later models. Not even BRP ones. That connector has gone from a 10 pin to a 16 pin. That's why BRP is now selling that piece of the trailer harness as a separate item.

    Default Show Chrome Harness

The Show Chrome harness connects to the tail light harnesses and that did not change from 2017 to 2018.
