    Default RT won't start

Finally it's not snowing or raining and my RT won't start. I had it on a tender throughout the winter. I have 13 volts coming from the battery and all lights are working, with no fault codes. What could be the problem?

It'd be real handy to know something about your ryde...
    What year is it?
    How old is the battery?

What is it doing when you hit the starter button?
(Is it clicking; or just doing nothing?)

But some quick things to check:
Has the emergency stop switch been engaged?
Was the bike left in gear when you parked it?
(Are you putting your foot on the brake pedal, when you hit the button?)

It is a 2016 RTL and I am not getting any sound when I push the starter. My foot is on the brake and the bike is in neutral. It was covered and on a tender throughout the winter months.

    How about the kill-switch?

After this one: you're going to have to actually check your battery terminal connections...

    ...and then: the fuse panels!

    Sorry... I've got nothing else.

What fuse would cause the starter to not engage? Terminals tight. Bob, just let me use one of your bikes, the weather is so nice!!

    Default Try this

Just to make sure.... flip the kill switch back and forth a few time and then set it to run. Then follow the starting steps you already know...mode button brake etc. If the battery has 13 volts and even a bad connection will give you a click.

Don't forget to hit your mode button, make sure kill switch isn't on and if not in neutral step on the brake.

BAHAHAHAHA! I'm with you Jaybird! I did the EXACT same thing yesterday!

"Piece of crap, why did I even buy you? I can't believe I wasted all this money on a three-wheeled pile of turds. Oh wait, aren't I supposed to push this button first?"

    VROOOOOOM.

    "Sorry honey, I love you."

I did the same exact thing a couple of weeks ago. Wasted some perfectly good cuss words until I remembered........

    Default RT won't start?

I know my 2012 SM5 has to be in a certain "Mode" to start! Just my two cent opinion!

Another reason I ride mine year 'round even here in Baltimore. It's good for the bike, the riding skills and reduces memory loss....

I don't understand. I don't remember ever having a better memory than I have now.
