Makes me feel welcome to the BRP family. I used to tell people how much I like my Spyder, now I will only tell them about this.
I hope that they can settle it all out to your satisfaction.

I've received this "personalized"offer numerous times. The difference between it and a rebate is.
- It's tied specifically to a buyer.
- It is separate from a rebate. So if the dealer has knocked off $3.5K already you still get an additional $2K off. With a rebate the dealer will tell you the $3.5K they knocked off was the rebate
I don't have an issue with the deal except I wish it applied to 2016 bikes. I'm just sorry BRP doesn't have a 2018 model I want to buy. Otherwise I would put the offer to use.
Is it fair. No, not really but life isn't fair. A rebate is fair, its for all customers. This offer is targeted (probably by computer). Will/is it causing bad feelings among BRP customers? Looks like it. Does BRP care.....I doubt it.
What would really be nice is instead of offering $2K and $3.5K rebates and extra years of warranty or both and all these other deals to move bikes........how about just adjusting the normal pricing so its more reasonable. Then maybe more bikes would sell and they wouldn't have to offer all the rebates to push them out the door.
Sleds, Spyders, ATV's, they do it with everything. No one wants to buy at full price because they are all waiting for the rebates to come. This keep product in the showroom longer. Then BRP and dealers wonder why they can't move product faster. Stop offering the continuous rebates and price your product better.

I received a call yesterday from BRP asking if I wanted a $2000 rebate to trade in my 2016 F3T on the 2018.

My opinion on rebates.

I'm not a tax professional, but I believe the reason any company gives rebates verses lowering the price is because a rebate is considered a marketing (business) expense, and thus tax deductible. Again, not a tax professional, and do not know the tax laws for Canada.
Add that to the fact that some people will use the rebate as a down payment adds to the reason.
Either way, I agree with you about adjusting the price to make the product more affordable.
Is it Friday yet? ... Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm retired

I got an e-mail this morning from Stephanie at BRP. She assured me that someone from BRP was going to call me today.
It is now 9:30 my time and 10:30 Eastern, and I have not received a call.
Shows you how concerned they are about their customer service.
I figure they will give it to me on Tuesday because the deal expires on Monday.

I had a 2013 ST and traded it in for a 2018 RTL. I got the flyer in the snail mail and the email with special code.

I guess they don't like me. Never got the letter! Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

A couple weeks ago I got a flyer in the mail offering a $2000 rebate on a new Spyder. We've only bought one Spyder, a 2014 ST-L we bought as a leftover in 2015. I threw it in the trash because we're not looking to buy a newer one right now and it was nontransferable.

I don't get it! What does it take to be treated fairly? I bought a brand new Spyder and traded in my old one.
If any body on here is looking to purchase a new Spyder and they tell you about rebates make sure they like you're money compared to somebody elses.
What kind of deal did you get on the new Spyder? any money off?

Korea for a year. I’ll be home in August. You think you may make Spyders in the Ozarks?

Let me know. Andy Marino, who couldn’t make it to spyderfest with us, is going to go. I rode with him and Roger to TN this past year. Good dude. We can get the East Coast Posse back together

I thought I got a very good deal. But the deal I got was from the dealer not BRP

I talked to BRP the other day and they told me that they are looking into it.
I don't know what that means.
I'm assuming that they are just stringing me along

Talk to your dealer... I believe my dealer said he put my name in for a rebate some time back? anyway, I got the rebate and traded my 2014 RT Limited for a 2018 RT Limited. I went up 4 model years for $9,000.00 including the rebate!!! ever since I brought the new one home, it has been too cold to ride????????? It has been sitting in my garage with 3.2 miles for over a month... I am not a happy camper with the weatherman!! :-(

Rebate
I bought my first 2018 RT. Two weeks later, received the $2000 rebate offer in the mail and an email. I contacted BRP, the reply was they honor it within a week after a purchase and not good for accessories.
