Clock on Dash

I have a 2015 RT Limited...I set the time on the clock and after a couple hours it lost 10-15 minutes. So it is always off by 10-15 minutes. What would cause this?

Not sure about the clock loosing time, but on the RSS, RT, and F3T that I owned, the clock gains about 2 minutes a week. Maybe someone else can help you with the loosing of time. Welcome to the forums.

That clock has never been accurate, and I just hope that the new version might be...

My clocks have never been very accurate (always fast). Seems that could have been straightened out by now.

The standard clock is so small. I mounted an analog clock on a dash mount ( like the one JT sells), works sooooo much better.

My clocks are not spot on, but close enough. The big discrepancy is over the long winter sleep. Usually about 5 minutes off. The 's are attached to battery tenders from Oct/March-April for the big sleep. I just put them on the money after the first ride and they are usually good for the season--within a minute or two.

If this happens all the time for you--it might be a sign that a new battery is needed.

I didn't want anyone to think that JT sold clocks, he does not as far as I know-------- BUT he does sell a bar that mounts on the dash. I copied this bar and mounted an analog clock from "Formotion" along with mounts for the GPS.

I have a formotion; it's EL/ELA style. Have you changed the battery yourself? If you have the EL/ELA style, how did you get the back plate off?

Though I only use it as a reference, therefore never really knowing how far off it might be, someone explained it once as a cheap chip/part they could upgrade but don't. When I Ryde time is not important...

I'm not sure what kind of clock my Formation clock is but:


A pair of needle nose pliers, wide open will fit into the groves in the back cover and open it. Just be careful---- gloves are a must.

My clock used to be. Up before sun and in when the street lights came on, but I was a lot younger then. . Now I stopped fighting with the one on the dash xand just take the wife along to tell me when to home.
