You might want to note that companies like etrailer sell connection cables for many different vehicles. The buyer won’t be limited to Fords because of the cable you have.

These are really terrific brake controllers because you can dial in just the right amount of trailer braking to maintain stability. I have one in my Honda Odyssey for a light tilt trailer that is use for my 1400 pound Lotus 7 clone car.
