Brake & Clutch Fluid Change ?
I have a 2012 RT base model with 10,002 miles on it. Bought it used private sale. I thought I saw somewhere on here that both of these should be changed at about this mileage? I will try to do them myself or with some help/guidance! Thanks!

Use DOT4 brake fluid in both. you can use either a MITYVAC handpump system or use the old pump them up and hold it down method.

Brake fluid attracts moisture and causes corrosion whether the bike is being ridden or not. Forget the mileage and change the fluid every two years. I like the Mityvac, it does make the job easier. Just like on your car start at the farthest wheel from the master cylinder. Front left, front right, and rear.

Bleeding Brakes
Has anyone on here done the brake bleeding their self? I am thinking about bleeding the brakes on my 2015 Can Am Spyder myself. I am going to use a MityVac and what I have read there don't seem to be any problem if you do the front left wheel then the front right wheel then do the rear. I am a little afraid of bleeding the VCM bleeder. I understand this could cause a problem without BUDS. I know it would leave a little old fluid in the system. I thought if you can do the front and rear brake calipers then say in another month or so do it again and then you would have fresh brake fluid in the complete system. I would like to hear from anyone that has done their own brake bleeding and if they had any problems?

I did do my brakes today. Had no problems at all. I used a one way valve tube bleeder and it worked great. There is not any chance of getting air in the system with a one way valve tube bleeder.
