    Default Remove lugnuts without scratching

This seems elementary but how can I remove the front lugnuts in the rims and not scratch the paint off them. Never taken them off before and I'm putting new tires on. Whats a guy to do?

if you don't have thin wall socket, get one.
if you are worried about scratching the lugs there are sockets that have teflon on the inner and you can always
change your lugs to spline design.

Use a 6-point deep socket Without using an impact gun of any sort.
    Should be no problem then.

Wrap your socket with a piece of blue painters tape.

    Default Never had a problem....

It's all in placing the socket on the nut and removing it. Thin wall sockets work best but do it slowly and remove the prybar/ratchet as soon as it has broken loose and remove the rest of the way by hand....if not all of the above...
