Wow
Sending wishes for a speedy recovery. I tangled with pneumonia a few years back and I never want to do that again. Talk about zapping your strength. I can't imagine dealing with the blood clots on top of the pneumonia. I hope all goes well and this passes quickly.

Glad to see you're doing better. So, are you walking around in the hospital?

Thanks everyone. Doing much better. I'm definitely walking around the halls several times a day. They also have me on blood thinners and some very strong pain meds, but I've been having a hard time with the pain meds causing nausea, so I'm only taking them sparingly.

Other than that, how are you doing? Still got a sense of ironic humor it seems.
I wish you a speedy and full recovery, buddy.

Right side of lower back above the kidney felt like I was being stabbed. About passed out waiting for the EMT's.
After all the tests, it was determined I had several blood clots in my right lung. . I guess my inactivity after being released from the hospital earlier in the week, and told to take it easy, allowed clots to form in my lower legs. When they decided to move and lodge in my right lung, we were at my MIL celebrating my wife's birthday. Happy birthday honey.
Been in hospital for 3 days with a couple more to go. Feeling much better. Still can't believe how dam painful that was.
Sorry for the long winded (pun intended) rant. There's really not much do do in here @ 10:15 pm....
Hope all continues to go well. That sucks.

Simple cold... 4 days later, pneumonia, 4 day after that....
Wife has really been dropping hints, jokingly of course, (I think)...that I really owe her do to the fact my first stint in the hospital fell during Valentine's day, and I went back in on her actual birthday. . Sleeping with one eye open.,.
Glad to hear you are getting this stuff whipped into shape!!! As to your spouse don't you worry; she has too many years invested in getting you properly trained to risk any mayhem!!!
Ask your doctors if you can use Ibuprofen (motrin) with your blood thinners. If you can you may find that you will get much better pain control than with the narcotics. They most likely will say no because it will increase your chances for bleeding, but worth asking. Hope you are all the way om the up side of all this soon.
