Question, what is the realistic market value for my 2014 RT Limited with 3000 miles?
I don't think NADA is accurate but I would like feedback from forum members about their recent experience either buying or selling.

You will be lucky if you get 14k or 15k for it, trade you might get 11k or 12k.

Don't know 🤔
NADA and Blue book is always a good starting point. They do estimate knowing your location but you still should check your area to see who and for how much others are selling. It does vary quite a bit on where you are located.... Check amazon, ebay, craigs list etc

Don't forget seasonal adjustment if that applies where you are. Up in the northern parts of the US, prices magically rise in spring.

I sold my 14 RTS SM-6 for $10,000 with 123,000 miles on it and 16 months of Best warranty remaining. If I hit that for a manual with high miles I think you can do a lot better.

I bought my 2014 RTL with 8,600 miles, matching RT622 trailer, and current BEST warranty for 60% of cost new last May. That 60% price was what the vehicle cost not including taxes and license fees. I was fortunate that the bike came with things I would like such as trailer hitch, drivers backrest, updated shocks, sway bar and front bump-skid. But those upgrades were not taken into consideration by the selling dealer or me. Regardless of region and season, I think if you can recover 60% of the bikes base cost you are doing reasonably well. Good luck.....

What MSRP was that trade compared to? I am guessing you still paid about $15K difference.
We have the added "Alaska" factor going on here.
I am also guessing I would be very lucky to get $14K for my 2014 RT-S. With 28,000 miles.
The 2011 has been offered for sale on an off here since 2016. It is now down to $11K. Going to the dealer for a consignment sale in March. I am thinking my main problem is you have to come to AK to buy it, or ship it. Early on--I even offered free servicing on this one--to assure the ride back would be a good one.
Deduct another couple $K if it either were trade-ins.
The good price is the one that sells to a customer. Many ads languish in the archives because the seller was asking way to much. A good hint is 500 looks and no bites.
I have posted many times--things to watch for when purchasing new. There are many "tricks." Not all of them work, its up to your negotiating prowess, and the generosity of the dealer. The actual price is what you end up paying "out the door" it is usually comprised of many factors.
The "magic" price is the one that sells.

Trade in Allowances are almost never an indication of what the dealer is actually valuing your trade in the transaction. On paper a dealer may show, say, $10,000 for your trade against whatever their selling price is. When it's all over, the dealer may actually take that trade into inventory at a value of $8,000. And no one knows except the dealer.....
