The only witness to come forward said she (the shooter) was attacked.

As I see it.....
There must be a strong self defense issue for her release... with eye witnesses

Per all reports, the husbands wife was in the car with him, and watched the whole thing play out, but "so far" hasn't said anything (that has been reported anyway).
when one witness says the guy hit her first.......................big man, small woman.....concealed carry permit (hers)........living out here I look forward to more info but could very well be within her rights.
PS: My wife lets me know in no uncertain terms anytime she doesn't like how I'm acting while we are on the road - hopefully it's before I've acted stupid !!.
In this day and age of "me,me,me" controlling our egos and tempers in any situation is way to easy to forget.

Yeah, it's kinda hard on the face of it to know who was the better American.

I know what to think...............
A guy's taking a chance hit'n a woman cause she just might be pack'n. For sure he won't be doing that again, and I would bet this isn't the first time he's ever hit a woman. Maybe his wife might be the lucky one here.

Saw this the other day and wondered what type of road rage would cause the drivers to pull into the left breakdown lane to resolve it? This looks like two mistakes by both drivers. If it was a confrontation by the car who did something to the bike (like pull into its lane or tailgate) the bike should have just left the scene (easy to do even in stopped traffic). A bike is always going to lose a confrontation with a car or truck. If it was the biker who pissed off the car driver it is even more difficult to understand.

can't really say much without knowing more, too many different reasons for it to happen but they should have moved to the right out of traffic. one note i will say is the guy must be white or there would be a riot or protest when the
biker was released.
and no that isn't a racist comment but by today's events it is very factual and there are other obvious reasons i can
make that statement.

That's a very valid possibility.

That's all that I dare to say.
I'd hate to see you on jury duty.
I read other stories where he was behind her, and she pulled into that left break down lane to let him go by. Now, once there, was there too much traffic for her to make an escape? I don't know; that's up to law enforcement as whether to charge.
I do like 2dogs version.

We don't have enough information, to make that assumption.

I didn't make any assumption, only stated what I read, and then asked a question.

Do I need to pull that one up also?
I guess that I had better do that:

I said I liked his version. I didn't say if there was any truth in it.
You remind me of the school teacher that I was on jury duty with, and he was the foreman. Oh, in the end, he didn't get his way.
