Ok not sure if it is KAT or CAT, but a friend informed me that I should change this first before the pipe.. Looked around at our suggested and trust sales here and can not locate this item. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.. Ride safe ..

Catalytic Converter Bypass pipe it's the actual primary muffler that's inside/under the bike versus the final output pipe we all see.
Lamonster has some or can likely send you to the source for one for your '13 ST-S.

    Default Try this

Remove the cat (catalytic converter) and install the bypass pipe and see how you like the change in sound. If you need more happy hunting there are a few out there to pick from.

I knew I had seen them somewhere recently but no vender here carries them. The installation is really hard though. it would be better if you could find someone to do it for you unless you feel confident to take it on. I did mine on my ST and remember having to use the weight of the spyder to get them to go on. The old bolts to the muffler will have to be cut off. They supply new bolts.

Make sure you also order replacement gaskets as you’ll likely need them. They are also available at a Pitbull.

The ad does not mention bolts included. You may want to call them to see if they are included and if not to send some. or just go to the hardware store befor you start. Do not use nylocks though. Also when I did mine, not all the springs were on my old Cat. When I called to ask why, I was told you don't need them all. I just used the 2 per connection instead of getting the 3rd one. I could feel later the heat. Make sure you have all the springs.

Does anyone know the difference between the CAT BYPASS sold by Spyder1attitude and the one sold by Pitbull Racing that would account for the $100 difference in price?

I'm going to remove the cat, then using a hand grinder, cut the can in half. Using a hand chisel & metal bristle brush wheel, remove the contents of the cat. Then, either take is to a muffler shop or buy a stick welder and put the piece back together. I did this on my '13 Harley the shop charged me $50 to weld the plate on. If it's more that $100, I'm gonna learn to weld...
