    Default Well I did it....

Traded my 2012 RTL for a 2017 RTL. On the 2012 the reccomended shift at about 5000 rpm. What is the concensus for shifting the 1330 2017?

    Thanks for all suggestions.

on your upgrade to the 1330. Try shifting points around 3500. You will quickly find the sweet spot on your machine.

I like it "low & slow": that engine is perfectly happy with shift points down as low at 2500 rpm.

But is will be perfectly happy shifting at about 2600 if you are into the "economy" thing.....and aren't in a hurry.
Or a LOT higher than that if you ARE in a hurry.

When a lot higher is needed, shift down one gear and "punch" it. Don't happen here very often--but have done it a couple times.

I have never exceeded 90 miles per hour or 6,000 rpms. Just me--"Mr Conservative."
