    Default A-Arm Covers

    Hi folks,

On my '08 GS, the 'plastic' right side lower A-Arm cover has a crack. This photo does not show the crack, it does show the area on the cover that I have a question about:

I recently obtained a new, replacement cover and it is different. My dealer says that the new one, while changed, is the replacement part. Here it is:

As you can see, the new part has an indentation area with two very small holes in there.

Can anyone tell me what goes into this indentation area, if anything? I am thinking maybe some type of logo or whatever.

Thanks in advance for any info,

    Jerry Baumchen

PS) The new parts fits just fine; and I have ordered a new part for the other side so that they match.

    Default Don't know 🤔

As you know Jerry, mine is a 2012 and has that indentation and the holes are to drain off standing water. at least on the RS there is nothing else. Maybe on some other model they have something that goes there and the holes are for the mounting screws...

    Hi Gene,

Re: the holes are to drain off standing water.

Thanks, Gene; I was thinking something along those lines.

I'll need them up here; you, not so much in San Diego.
