    Default Parking Brake Release

Having problems releasing the parking brake on a 2015, F3S. I have read all the threads, but would like to know the OEM part number for the parking brake switch.

    Default Parking Brake Release

My parking brake locked up on my 2017 F3L and the problem was caused by the
back lock nut on the brake rod had backed off allowing the parking brake pawl
to be pulled over center and jamming. I wound up totally removing the brake rod
from the brake pawl and tapped the pawl backwards with a hammer releasing the
over center jammed condition. In hindsight I could have probably just tapped the
pawl with a hammer and accomplished the same thing. Readjusting the brake is a
touchy/feely thing. Tight enough to set any switches and loose enough that park
brake is not dragging. Use blue lock tight on the shaft nuts. Hopes this helps.

    Default Bummer.....

As I see it it is part of the control command and is only sold as a unit and at the cheaper price $410.00. At that price I would tap into the wires and add a push button on the dash...But best find out what the problem is before you venture forth....
