It's a gas strut and someone will chime in with the Auto Parts store part number ........... it's less expensive than OEM & easy to replace ....... Mike

Was it staying up before and now doesn't? If so, then a replacement strut should solve that problem.
Has it never stayed up as long as you've had it? Then, consider adding a strut to the other side so there are two doing the job.

Honey, do you have anything mounted on the trunk lid? if not you can just replace the one or possibly adjust the mounting point. If you have added a luggage rack or something to the trunk lid that weighs it down, you might need to add a second gas strut

    Default Trunk Gas-Charge Strut

Check with your Local NAPA Auto Parts Store. May need to Google 'NAPA' for your nearest Store. Definitely A Much Better Price Option.

Got this idea/ mod on this site:

Drill a hole about 3/4" above the original strut mounting hole and remount the strut. Cost -----ZERO. Works perfect with the rack mounted.
