I was wondering about the install myself,the rivco armrests are 299.99 so these aren't that overpriced.Going to try to get to a dealer and find out more about them.
i have a friend that has them, very nice but a little high for his wife. I think he said it took the dealer around two hours and theybroke his antanae in the process. If you look closely the entire black plastic case is part of the armrest and replaces your existing ones.
When my Dealer was at the unveiling in September: he KNEW that I'd want a set of them. He's already got them coming!
Will they arrive before the Spyder???

Installation should be easy enough but I do wonder if they both flip up or only one side.... there are others similar out there but not with the flip up feature...

I just finished the install a couple of days ago. Yes, it's a pretty basic job requiring that you remove the rear body panel, passenger backrest and armrest/speaker side panels. The only part that is replaced is the soft cushion part on top of the armrest/speaker panel. If you have a stock passenger backrest it's a real simple job...but does take some additional work if you have a custom backrest.
Both armrests flip-up and out of the way. The wife loves it and the height is perfect for her ... think the added cushion that the Ultimate seat provides raises her up high enough to not poise a height problem that was mentioned earlier in the thread.
