R/H saddlebag won't open
Hi! I have a 2011 Spyder RT SM5. For some reason I can't get the R/h saddlebag to unlatch and open. Cable doesn't feel to be broken. Any suggestions?

try pushing in on saddlebag as you pull handle.

On my 2014 RT the left side door has never worked correctly and has been adjusted numerous times ..... I just tap it ( hard ) on either top corner and then it opens ...... good luck .... Mike

Same goes for all the other latches on these 's. Don't get mad and do something you'll regret when you're out of warrantee.

All good ideas - I'll try them. What I'm afraid what happened is that my jacket liner was in there and got caught in the latch, keeping it from releasing.

If that's the source of the problem: pushing in on the saddlebag may just buy you enough removed tension on the latch, to make some magic happen...
Good luck!

"If the above don't work--time to see the dealer. Mine did that too. It required a cable adjustment to fix the latches"
So how did they get to the cables? Most the screws are hidden because of the lid being closed - can't remove the needed plastic.

I believe you get to the cable adjuster by entering from "under" the back Tupperware. I let the dealer mess with it. They did not charge me for it.

The rains have hit for a few days so I'm at a stop on the door. Gonna try the back plastic next. Other ideas didn't do it. Thanks all....

In the manual for a.2011 it says you can remove the cover below the hand grip by removing the 2.screws, unplugging audio cable from cover and you should be able to get at the latch with a screw driver. Good luck. Bruce
