    Default Waiting Another Year

I was considering going to an F3T or F3 Limited due to age related things but will have to wait another year due to hospital bills that are now coming in the mail. I had to have two eye surgeries for a detached retina in my right eye. The first was November 21st but it didn't completely take so I went back December 1st for a second more involved surgery. My insurance apparently only covers about 75% so that leaves me with over $4500 to pay on the first surgery. The bills for the second surgery haven't yet arrived in the mail yet. I'll be on Medicare March 1st so this eye thing had some pretty bad timing. Hopefully nothing else happens and I can financially rebound enough in a year or two. Everything non essential is on hold for a while.

Sorry to hear about your eye issues and hope they have been resolved thru the surgeries...as for the bills, well, I'm sure there will be an F3 waiting just for you whenever you're ready for one

Good luck in your healing; the F3 can wait. Your vision is much more important.

I had a retinal detachment in July 2014 and after several surgeries I am now 20/25 in that eye with no correction. Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your set-back. I also had a retina detachment in 2016. It was one of the scariest days of my life. All mostly back to normal, now.

Thanks all. Yeah it's a minor setback as I at least have my 2015 Indian to ride whenever I feel secure enough to do so. Thankfully it's already paid off. I just got the insurance statements on the second surgery today and it will cost me another $4850 on top of the first one. It looks like a couple of years of paying on the order of $350 a month to pay this off. Barring any further troubles I should get through this. I might just be able to get to a Spyder by 2020.
