Broken purge solenoid
Hi-
I decided to do the canisterectomy today and I ended up breaking the lower plastic connector on my purge solenoid right at the base. It broke in one piece, so would epoxying it work temporarily until I can get a new one?
The part says Bosch 0 280 142 470...I am having trouble finding it online. Is there a different part number I could find at a local parts store or car dealership? The nearest Can-Am dealer is 100 miles away.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great
Thanks
Jeff

Try this
709000443 purge valve $48.99 at cheapcycleparts.com. This is for a 2008 GS...
709000413 rollover valve $35.99 located on the tank
Don't see any solenoid

Thanks Chupaca
Do you think epoxying the broken one will work in the meantime?

Sure....
Should be fine, just let it set well. I usually use a soldering gun to weld the break and then apply the epoxy so it has rough edges to latch onto...

Yep, it is the purge valve

Why do you want to retain the purge valve anyway? If you are removing the canister. The purge valve would serve no function.
