windshield
Would a larger windshield have an adverse effect on the motor that controls the height, or on the linkage? I am tall from the waist up and my head is buffeted at the highest setting. Just wondering.
2015 RT S , None Tried one, but took it off. Didn't like it Black and Silver

Wondering that myself, looked at F4 their tall boy is 3 " wider on both sides and taller. Would think that when lowered it would be about same level as the stock. Wondering if F4 and even this one will waffle in the wind?
A lot less expensive, same thickness?

I am 6' 2" with a long torso and I would also experience head buffeting on my RT-S. I went on a 3,000 mile round trip this past summer and one of my concerns was head buffeting on a long trip. Before I left on the trip I upgraded my windshield at Spyderfest to the F4 High and Wide with vent. It made a big difference and I did not experience any head buffeting. The only hitch was my IPS key hold was silver and it reflected in the upper portion of the windshield. I spray painted the key holder matte black and it was much less distracting.

Don here from F4 Customs Inc. We personally ride with the Plus 3 Wide Clear Vented on our RT and love the performance. The shield does not buffer around and the mechanism is not affected. You will love this shield for sure.

Whatever shield you get---- get it with a VENT. You will be happier for it.

There doesn't "appear" to be any adverse effect but from experience the larger the windscreen the more "stress" on the OEM windscreen arm. Nothing may happen or effect with windscreen height but as many have experienced the Windscreen arm can break without any notice.
Keep a regular check and look for any Tell Tale signs of cracking and or if needed install one of my Alloy arms

My first aftermarket windshield was a F4 +3 wide. I'm 5'10", it was a little to high for my liking so I sold it and went with a F4 stock tinted. Perfect for me, it is the same height as the OEM windshield but a bit wider.
When it was time for a new windshield I decided to go for the 7JuRock as it was quite less expensive.
As with all things, you get what you pay for...
Not saying that 7JuRock windshield is a poor windshield but here are the cons in my experience.
The 7JuRock is more flat surfaced that the OEM or F4 that curve into the bike so more air drag.
The clarity of the 7JuRock doesn't come close to the F4.
Lastly the 7JuRock was quite poor in shedding rain and I found in my opinion somewhat dangerous in the visibility factor.
This last fact is why as soon as I returned from my road trip last summer I took off a perfect condition 7JuRock are replaced it with a new F4 stock tinted.
