GOOGLE MAIL S
I would suggest Google Maps for your navigation app. It is free and very accurate.

Welcome to the 21st century, Bob!
I have an iPhone X on its way. I considered waiting six months for the XS (since that's how I live my life!), but couldn't resist the temptation!

Bob,
relax! You seem to be able to navigate your computer just fine. Your phone is a "handheld computer". Any APP you need is available in the Google Play Store. Remember it is just a little PC! Now, have some fun, and hope that all the Spyder goodies are not based on an iOS platform!!

If you have a question on using a feature of your new phone try searching You Tube. Lots of how to videos. It can be very helpful.

Google Maps and REVER...
I use both...
REVER is available free for both iOS and Android...I use it to "track" rides when I've no planned destination and follow them another time, or record rides that others are leading for future use

GLIMPSE
Bob, (& others);
you may also want to down-load GLIMPSE..... this app allows you to follow others who use it, as well as letting others follow your progress while riding.... give it a try, you'll like it, i can attest to it....

Quoted from the BRP website.
"Be the first rider on the open road to access different vehicle-optimized smartphone apps with Can-Am Spyder. Get directions with Genius Map†, listen to your favorite songs with Music, check the weather with Accuweather †, share experiences with your community with Rever†, and more — all while enjoying your ride."
Those are the 4 apps that work with your 2018 Spyder display when you get it.

I am not sure of the communication between your new Ryde and the phone, but we were told during the anniversary edition announcement that the dash will use the Rever ap. You may want to get that one also.

Question: Can anyone advise me on how to install a Navigation App on this thing?
(And which Nav App I should use?)
Okay: TWO questions!
I'm still figgerin'-out the whole picture thing...

Looks like the camera works great, but you might want to find better subject matter.
I second the google maps.

Google Maps will do the same thing. When in Maps, tap the "hamburger" menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner), then tap "Location Sharing"

But isn't it very limited in what you can do in offline mode? I understand it uses a data connection pretty much all the time.
I use Sygic. I'm not going to say it's the best because I haven't tried or tested any others lately, but it works and works pretty decently. It uses Tom Tom maps which I find to be quite good. Their database of places has glitches but mostly works good. It runs entirely offline except for downloading maps.
