ABS FAILURE
Slowing down the bike stalled. Turned it off and restarted. Started riding, slowed and it stalled again. Showed ABS failure. Turned it off restarted. What is it.

The active fault codes can be called up on the RT by pressing MODE, SET, and the turn signal cancel simultaneously. The fault codes will be alphanumerically diplayed on the screen when you release the buttons. You can look in a shop manual to interpret the codes, or someone here can tell you what they mean.

Year? Model? Under warranty?
Artillery lends dignity to what would
otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

2010 RT SE5. No warranty, no check engine. Warning displayed for a few seconds. Brought up code P0000
-
P0000 is in Roger Wenzel’s words “ a non error error code”. If you get the abs fault again in the display do not turn the bike off instead pull the codes again. Whatever is going on when you get the code is resetting itself when you turn it off. A dealer can pull up the inactive code but you can only see what’s currently active so you have to check before shutting it off.

Because of when the ABS failure came up. I would think it was a secondary fault due the engine stalling and maybe should be ignored. Why did the engine stall? If you find out why it stalled and fix that I would guess there will not be a ABS fault. Have the MAP vacuum hoses ever been changed? Also need to look for other possible vacuum leaks. Sticking purge valve another possible cause.

Agree....
Need to find the stalling sourse. ABS problems seldom clear if really a problem. Do as SpyderAnn01 indicated and all of the above...check fuel filter or replace it if it has never been done. If overfilled gas tank has occured recently the evap canister needs to dry out or can cause this problem...

Went on a test ride. Rode about 10 miles, nothing. On the return as I was getting ready to exit the highway, I tapped the brakes turning off cruise. Bike attempted to stall but seemed to refire. Stopped and left running. Checked codes, showed p2530 but no warning of any kind. I'm confused.
Further research, it is in the engine stop switch. Can that be bypassed.

P2530 Ignition switch state not plausible.
There is a wiring connection problem or the ignition switch is bad. Most likely the plug on the bottom of the ignition switch has come loose with an intermittent connection. Rarely the ignition switch goes bad but possible.

How do I access the plug.

Also Break Failure Warning
I used the procedure given below and came up with a "C1282". Can't find out what that code points to. Am told by dealer that it could be ABS sensor; over $2000 to replace. Any one had this done or replaced it themselves??
USN Vet RM also.

C1282
Dayrider - Code description from SpyderCodes App below. And rather than me repeat everything here, just do a forum search for that code and you’ll find all kinds of cause, corrective action and reset information. For whatever reason, you had your brake low pressure switch activated. Caused by excessive travel of your brake pedal triggering the low pressure switch. In addition, I think your dealer has his head up his.....well anyway, you get the idea.....if that was his first choice. Unless there is a whole lot more to this story, he should have never said that. You could simply need no more than a brake system flush. If you provide more details about your machine, age, and maintenance history regarding brakes, it can help narrow things down a bit. But, you’ll find a lot of info on your own with that search. Then go from there.
C1282 module:VCM
Brake failure (low pressure detected).Possible hydraulic brake circuit leak.
Check hydraulic brake circuit for a possible fluid leak.
