    Question VIN location on F3-L.

The first reply to this question will probably be " read the manual" which I will do in due time. I will be taking delivery of a 2017 F3-L this Friday and need to have the VIN verified be the BMV here in Indiana to get the title & registration processed. Can anyone tell me where the VIN is located on the F3 until I get the chance to read the manual?
My new ride is a 2017 F3-L: BRP drivers backrest, F4 21" tinted shield w/vent, Lamonster fog lights, TRCLED cyclops light, red/black carbon fiber tank protector and dash kit from Wrap-My-Spyder, FOBO tire pressure monitors and more farkles to come.

I think you will find a plate with all the required info on the left side of the engine block, easily seen without a problem. As I recall, there is a second place along the left side (frame) a little further back. Sorry to be rather inexact; my bike and manual are at the dealer for first service, so I'm going on memory.

Look on your motorcycle insurance policy, or on your paperwork from your dealership.

The DMV will likely not take the plate on the swing arm but will want to see the actual one that is etched into the bike. The manual doesn’t show the correct position so even if you read the manual you’d still be looking for it! It is on the right side and is hidden about as good as it can be. Sorry but I don’t remember the exact location, I found it once but couldn’t find it when I was at the DMV. The DMV guy finally found it and it took 15 minutes for him

I just remembered that there is a paper tag with the vin number on it on the right side near where the actual vin is located. The paper was horizontal and the actual vin is vertical.
