    Default Rear Cargo Door Open

    I have a 2017 F3

At 660 miles I get this warning pop up. My rear truck and side compartments are tightly shut.

I figure it might be a sensor issue but have not been able to stop it from happening.

Its not a problem, but bothers me.

    Any help would be welcome

I purchased a top case for my F3T and it had the same issue from the beginning. I installed it myself and thought I did something wrong. I read the instructions several times but there is no adjustment for that latch. I tried several things but was finally able to get it go away by placing a small flat rubber grommet on top of the little metal tab inside the trunk latch assembly which allowed the tab to be pushed down far enough to shut off the sensor. Hope this helps.

    Default Little checking

There are pressure switches along the edges that get bent and don't make full contact triggering those warnings. Check for them but they are not at the latch...

Default A dab of silicon works too.....

I had the same problem on my Ltd. I just put a small dab of black silicon on the tip of the little plastic post in the rear of the cover that contacts (pushes down on) the sensor switch.

    Thanks,

I only thought there was a sensor at the trunk rear latch. I will look for the pressure switches along the edges.

    Default Switch on the trunk

There is a tech bulletin out for the switch to add a shim. the dealer should do it for no charge.

    Oh My GOD.
    You found a helpful solution.
Wait until you ask a question like "What kind of oil do you use in your Spyder"
Then you get a slew of answers like "I don't have a Spyder but I give my horse castor oil"

    Your answer is apropos.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Thanks everyone. Looks like from this post there might be a BRP issue.

I will let the dealer add the fix next visit.

I applied a 1/8" x 1/8" x 1/2" self adhesive backed foam part to the rear trunk sensor switch.
    This has solved the problem.
thanks all. Just wanted to pass this along.
