Bought a 2011 RTS 3 months ago ( first Spyder) from a friend who bought It new. It had 6,300 miles on it. I just hit 10K miles. Steep learning curve after 11 years of Harleys.😁

I also live in a northern state( Vermont, In the North East) I have 21,800 miles, on my spyder. It took me 3 years to reach the current mileage. I am still in the work force ( full time). I ride my spyder on the week-ends. I am hoping to reach the 22,000 miles mark before the spyder goes into hibernation. The average mileage that I put on during the season is( April to Oct.) is 6,000 miles.
You have a ways to go to catch up to me.
Ride Safe out there!

Retirement is underrated!
Retirement is great. I get to ryde most anytime I want, and I do. Ryde about 200 miles a day.
Have 40,466 miles this year, 141,700 total. Hopefully the winter holds off here in Ohio, I'm trying for 150K.
Bought another oil change yesterday, the 5th this summer.
Had to finally spring for a new battery, only it's second.

They are very addictive! just ask my wife . She had never ridden a bike in her life and had only been a passenger with me. We bought our first Spyder and after about 4 months of riding behind me so at 65 she decided to get her endorsement in case I got sick or hurt when we were traveling. I was working on the road when she took my Spyder in for an oil change and texted me that she had bought her own RTL and they were going to deliver it. She said it was a retirement gift to herself as she loved riding. In the next 12 months she put 35,000 miles on it and then traded it in on a 2015 RTL. I traded my 2013 in on a new 2014 RTL in Febuary 2016 and now have 35,000 miles on mine, I still work full time but we ride as often as we can as we have some fantastic riding out here in Oregon, we did make one big trip this summer to Glacier Nat. Park that was 4,800 miles. These thing are so addictive you cant stay off them.
